From the roads of Rajasthan to journeys across India and beyond
I come from Jaipur, Rajasthan—a part of India where stories are found everywhere. They live in old forts and quiet temples, in village streets, around family kitchens, in colourful markets, and in conversations with people you meet along the road.
Perhaps that is why, for me, travel has never been only about going from one famous place to another.
It has always been about discovering what lies behind the destination.
For more than 15 years, I have worked in the travel industry, creating and arranging journeys for travelers from around the world who want to discover India. Over these years, I have travelled extensively, built relationships with local communities and hospitality partners, and developed first-hand knowledge of destinations, hotels, heritage, culture, cuisine, wildlife, traditions, and the many experiences that make a journey memorable.
But the most important thing I have learned is something much simpler:
India should not simply be seen. It should be experienced, understood, and felt.
Beyond the Famous Places
Of course, India has extraordinary monuments. The forts and palaces of Rajasthan, the Taj Mahal, ancient temples, colourful cities and remarkable landscapes deserve to be seen.
But some of my favourite travel moments happen away from the places everyone already knows.
It might be sitting with a local family and sharing a traditional meal. It could be walking through a village and having an unexpected conversation with someone you have never met before. It could be discovering a local market, watching artisans at work, experiencing music and dance, learning about traditional cuisine, or simply stopping somewhere along the road because a moment feels special.
Sometimes it is a wildlife experience at sunrise.
Sometimes it is a cup of tea and a conversation.
Sometimes it is a road that was never part of the original plan.
These moments are difficult to put into a standard itinerary, but they are often the moments travelers remember for years.
Over time, I began to understand that international travelers are looking for more than sightseeing. They want to feel comfortable and safe, but they also want something genuine. They want thoughtful planning without losing the freedom to experience a place naturally. They want reliable people around them, honest advice, good hospitality, and experiences that have meaning.
That understanding has shaped the way I work.
Why I Created Vacation Trip India
Vacation Trip India grew from this personal journey.
I wanted to create a travel company where the focus was not simply on selling an itinerary, but on understanding the traveler behind it.
Before designing a journey, I like to listen.
What interests you?
What kind of places do you enjoy?
Are you fascinated by history and architecture, or would you rather spend time with local people?
Do you love food, wildlife, photography, spirituality, villages, luxury hotels, or simply having time to slow down?
The answers matter.
Because two people can visit the same country and have completely different experiences.
That is why I believe a good journey should be designed around people, not packages.
My Rajasthan roots have taught me the importance of hospitality, personal relationships and looking after guests as we would look after friends. My years in travel have taught me the importance of planning, communication, reliability, comfort, safety and attention to detail.
Vacation Trip India brings these two sides together.
Travel With Trust
When someone travels thousands of kilometres to experience India, they are placing a great deal of trust in the people arranging their journey.
I never take that trust lightly.
From the first conversation to the moment a traveler returns home, my aim is to make the journey feel thoughtfully cared for. I want travelers to have dependable local support, comfortable arrangements and carefully selected experiences, while still having the space to discover India in their own way.
For me, hospitality is not about being formal.
It is about being there when you are needed.
It is about knowing when a traveler needs help, when they need a little more time, when a plan needs to change, or when an unexpected opportunity should simply be embraced.

Today, Vacation Trip India creates personalized journeys across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and the Maldives.
Each destination has its own character, culture and rhythm, and our approach is to help travelers discover that character rather than simply move through a checklist of attractions.
Rajasthan, naturally, remains a very important part of who we are. It is where my own journey began, and it is a region I know deeply—from its magnificent heritage and royal history to its villages, cuisine, traditions, wildlife and quieter corners.
But wherever the journey takes you, the principle remains the same: travel with curiosity, travel with respect, and travel with an open heart.
